Wow! I have no idea what all this says, but it looks amazing. And it's motivated me to go to the Vulcan Language Institute page and start studying.

Osu Meridiani,

I’m pleased to have been able to provide some motivation. Isha rok-tor nash-veh ki’tal-tor du oren-kitutra gol-boshik hiyet. (I hope that you’ve been able to find sufficiently helpful learning materials.)

I've tried to read your message for several times and do not /cannot find matches, not in VLD or in Golic grammar. Please, correct me; there will be something in San Francisco, a work/convention from VLI, with Mark Gardner? And...T'Sai goes trough Kohlinar? Yes, I truly apologize. Also, I need a handbook for vanu-zukitan handwriting or font (yours is awesome), do you know where I can get/buy one? Thanks a lot for reading me.

Nemuyauk wi ri nam-tor ish vanu-zukitan-kakharnap ik psau tu.

Osu FantasmaAlineal,

Sadly, the guide to the ceremonial script that you are looking for does not yet exist. Hi, dungi-olau nash-veh sanoyalik kuv dungi kal-tor du ta kharik gol-tor nash-veh fna’kitaya t’pi-zhit-ballar ik ya’bolau tu eh fna’khar-sataya na’du wilat ik ki’ovosh. However, I’ll be pleased if you’ll allow me to assist by writing the phrases that you require and sending them to you when they are done. Wi rin nam-tor nash vanu-kitaya-tikap u’tsuri-hikra t’tum-vel ik kup puis-tor hagik. There still is no regular computer font for this ceremonial writing that can be used easily.

I live in San Francisco, California and I very much wish that there were an upcoming event in my area in which Mark Gardener were scheduled to participate, but sadly I am unable to locate a way to contact him. I was referring to my recently having found an archive of his now defunct Vulcan Language Institute. My studies are based primarily on those materials and his last set of vocabulary from 2006.

The reference to Kolinahr and T’Sai was simply that the writing sample that I provided in the vertical calligraphic text is the dialogue from The Motion Picture when T’sai and her assistant speak to Spock. I’ve spelled ‘sehtebihk’ (VLI) / ‘sehtebuhk’ (VLD) - symbol - as ‘tsetsebihk’ because that’s the way I hear it in the film audio, but otherwise I’ve tried to remain faithful to Mark Gardner’s transcription. I’ve also reinterpreted the punctuation a bit in order to make the text LOOK as much as possible like the (non-phonetic) Vulcan orthography designed by Michael Okuda.

Please let me know what text you need written in the vertical script and I’m happy to create it as a graphic for you and post it here or you can let me know a regular e-mail address via a private message and I can send it there. I am very new to LiveJournal so I don’t know how many of the features function. Please forgive me if I am clumsy with the way I interact with you using this site.
